Welcome to the EAB website
The Engineering Accreditation Board (EAB) is made up of all the Professional Engineering Institutions (PEIs) that are licensed by the Engineering Council to accredit academic programmes for both Chartered Engineer and Incorporated Engineer status. The Engineering Council provides the secretariat for EAB.
The aim of EAB is to encourage consistent accreditation processes and practices as well as to provide a single point of contact to facilitate joint accreditation visits, where appropriate, for member PEIs. EAB also seeks to disseminate good practice in accreditation.
EAB visits are intended for those HEIs seeking the accreditation of either mixed discipline degrees or a range of engineering courses by a number of PEIs. If you think that an EAB visit would suit your HEI, or you would like further information, please contact us.
The Engineering Council currently has a vacancy for a Higher Education Executive. An important aspect of this role is to provide the secretariat for EAB. Further information is available on the Engineering Council website.
